The show, “Color Theory,” a retrospective, celebrated the vibrant colors that are the hallmark of White’s work. White has exhibited work across the country since he opened his first studio in 1995 and Flame Run in 2004. He has more than 20 installations in several states and his work is included in the private collections of Muhammad Ali, President Jimmy Carter, Susan Sarandon, Michael Bolton, Diane Sawyer and many others.

Flame Run showcased the work of its founder, Brook Forrest White, Jr., in a solo exhibition Oct. 2, 2015 through Nov. 21, 2015. The show, “Color Theory,” a retrospective, celebrated the vibrant colors that are the hallmark of White’s work. “Color can evoke emotion even when you don’t think about it,” White said. “I like to think of these pieces conveying some feeling, some emotion, some action through the color. I think of the vessel as the instrument. And the color is the music you are playing.” White has exhibited work across the country since he opened his first studio in 1995 and Flame Run in 2004. He has more than 20 installations in several states and his work is included in the private collections of Muhammad Ali, President Jimmy Carter, Susan Sarandon, Michael Bolton, Diane Sawyer and many others. In 2010, he was a co-chair in hosting the 40th Anniversary Glass Art Society’s annual conference in Louisville. The exhibition, White’s first solo show since 2008, included roughly 20 pieces, at least half of them new creations.
